RISING BUSINESS COSTS STILL A MAJOR CAUSE FOR CONCERN

While welcoming the increased Retail Sales figures for July, from the CSO, released today (29th August), ISME, the Irish Small & Medium Enterprises Association, cautioned against any excessive optimism, as the figures are still well below pre-crash figures. The Association called on Government to address the increasing cost burden on retailers, in insurance, rents and local charges, to ensure the continued employment of the 275,000 in the sector.
