Support SMEs this Christmas

Following on from our successful campaign last year, ISME are once again encouraging Irish consumers and fellow ISME members to make a national effort to ‘shop local’ and ‘buy Irish’.

ISME CEO Neil McDonnel has this to say about shopping local, "Buying from locally owned businesses keeps money circulating closer to where you spend. Local shops use local services, accountants, insurance brokers, and suppliers, as well as employing local people and they also carry a higher percentage of locally produced goods."

Green Friday

Wild Design Collective created this movement to combat Black Friday mass consumerism.

Genovese Foods

Genovese Foods are a small Irish family run business whose food are healthy but delicious!

General footfall dramatically decreases at this time of year for Kilbaha Gallery, but these two women have pushed themselves and their village as a destination at Christmas. Loop Head might not be the first place you would think of during the festive season but there is certainly a rustic beauty to it:

"Our Gallery is based on the Loop Head peninsula, with the mouth of the Shannon River running behind us, and the waves of the Atlantic Ocean in front of us. We are extremely lucky to have a vibrant and supportive community in Loop Head and in the wider West Clare area."

Ailish Connolly and Liz Greehy.
