Leo Cullen to lead the AsIAm Hike up Carrauntoohil – 2nd July 2022

Leo Cullen, Irish Rugby Legend and Leinster Rugby’s Head Coach will be taking some time out from his busy schedule this coming weekend as he leads Irelands AsIAm National Autism Charity in the 2022 Challenge of Hiking Irelands Highest Peak – Carrauntoohil.

Speaking today, Leo Cullen commented

“I am delighted to be part of this initiative and I see it as an ideal opportunity for me to support AsIAm on this Hike on Carrauntoohil. This is a real opportunity to hike Irelands highest peak, build awareness of Autism and support the Same Chance Campaign.”

Commenting Adam Harris, CEO and Founder of AsIAm

“Events like this Hike are important to us. They provide much needed support for our work while assisting us with our goals in the field of acceptance and inclusion for the autism community in Ireland. One in 65 Irish people are autistic and over 50 per cent of them experience bullying in education, 85 per cent experience unemployment and eight in 10 experience a mental health condition”

For all of us in the Autism Community the challenge remains as we strive to ensure that all autistic people get the SAME CHANCE in life!
