Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a Business Development Executive to develop a career in an exciting business association that represents SMEs in Ireland.

We are looking for a driven and client-focused individual to join our Membership team. The successful candidate will have experience in account management/selling, will have worked to targets, used to performing well under pressure and are very organised. They will have experience talking to customers on the phone and have excellent communication skills both on the phone and in writing. Strong IT stills particularly in CRM/Database management is required and a background working in a B2B environment is a distinct advantage. Reporting to the Sales Manager we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to contribute to generating new customers (members) while account managing existing customers of our association.

Responsibilities

  • To achieve set quarterly targets in respect of new customer (member) recruitment
  • Be responsible for identifying, developing and closing sales through sustained prospecting and activity.
  • Responsible for building pipeline for new membership across a range of activities
  • Quickly gain a detailed understanding of the Company services and product offerings.
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.
  • Account Management: responsible for maintaining relationships with existing members and dealing with their queries or concerns.
  • Maintain and update ISME’s CRM system (Zoho CRM)
  • Provide regular reports from CRM
  • Optimise CRM tools for customer retention and recruitment
  • Database management – making sure the customer database is constantly updated & accurate to support sales and marketing activities
  • Identifying opportunities for ISME to provide a greater level of support to members
  • Following all GDPR and compliance guidelines when interacting with customers

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years highly successful direct sales experience in a B2B marketplace in a role that is primarily focused on new business acquisition
  • Ambitious, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a result-driven environment.
  • Experience in sales and providing solutions based on customer needs, with the aptitude in building relationships with professionals at all organisational levels.
  • BSc/BA in Business Administration, Sales, or relevant field
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel
  • Proficient and experienced with CRM systems
  • Ability to handle multiple client accounts.
  • Excellent organisational, problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be a listener, a presenter, and a people person.
  • Ability to prioritise and meet critical deadlines.
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quota.
  • Previous experience of working in a business-to-business setting would be an advantage.
  • Results driven with high levels of enthusiasm, drive and energy and the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Interest in business would be an advantage
