The Czech Republic or Czechia, is a country in Central Europe bordered by Germany to the west, Austria to the south, Slovakia to the east, and Poland to the northeast. It joined the EU in 2004.
It has a population of approximately 10.5 million people. The capital city is Prague that has a population of approximately 1.3 million inhabitants.
The Czech Republic is part of the Schengen Zone.
