ESSENTIAL MANAGEMENT SKILLS

This course gives YOUR managers the essential skills to do a better job.

After this course, participants will:

• Be better managers, with an improved aptitude for business

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Every SME manager, yet to receive management training, who wishes to enhance their management and people strategies and to create better business results.

CERTIFICATION
Participants who successfully complete the company improvement project and related report and presentation are eligible for certification to achieve FETAC Level 6 Component Certificates in Business Management and in Communications.

If you are in receip of Job Seekers Allowance or Job Seekers Benefit you are eligible for a free place on the course. There is a maximum number of free places available and places will be offered on a first come first served basis.

ADVANCE BUSINESS PROGRAMME

A 10 day management development programme for owner-managers of SMEs.

AIM
The aim of this programme is to help owner-managers in SMEs, who are past the start-up phase, face the internal and external challenges that need to be overcome to enable them to continue to compete locally and internationally.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This course is for owner-managers who have a number of years experience running their own business and now want to improve the way they do business, whether it is to make better use of finance, have a more strategic focus, better people management, etc.

CERTIFICATION
Participants who successfully complete the company improvement project and related report and presentation will be eligible for certification to achieve a Special Purpose Award at HETAC Level 7.

FEE: Full Cost: €3980. This programme has ISME Skillnet funding and is sponsored by AIB: Fee: €1990, Non Member

If you are in receipt of Job Seekers Allowance, Job Seekers Benefit or have registered as unemployed with the Revenue, you are eligible for a free place on this course. Free places are limited and places will be offered on a first come first served basis.

CERTIFICATE IN MANAGEMENT

Transform your company, increase your productivity by improving your key manager’s knowledge and skills.

After this course, participants will be able to:

• Build an effective team
• Use financial reporting for decision making
• Use tools and techniques to carry out projects effectively
• Use tools and techniques to manage their behaviour in order to effectively manage staff
• Use best practice to be more effective and efficient in a number of specialist areas

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
In SMEs senior managers wear a number of functional hats but often only have training or experience in one specialist area. This programme is designed to assist them develop generalist management skills and specialist technical skills in the areas they have become responsible for.

CERTIFICATION
Participants who successfully complete the company improvement project and related report and presentation are eligible for certification to achieve HETAC Level 7 Special Purpose Award in Management Development from the Institute of Technology Sligo.

FEE: Participants pay per 2 day module and 1 day mentoring. Participants successfully completing all 7 modules and the associated project are awarded the certificate. Fee per 2 day module and 1 day mentoring is: €400
